Because it’s Christmas, and I’m in the spirit…

… and Audrey asked me to post again fast… here we have it:

I have a job.

I LOVE my job.

This is a GREAT day for me:

Me, my laptop playing Christmas carols, and the endless binders I sift through doing research. SWEET! But even better… see that cup? The ampersand means love. Love, and a quad Phil & Sebastian cappuccino.

But I’m really posting this because I want advice: this weekend, I’m painting my soon-to-be room. After 6 months and 2 weeks as a homeless couch-surfer, I’m reasserting my personhood and getting my own space again.

My entire house in Prince George was white. Outside, inside: it was 100% asylum, all the time. Now that the lunatic is on the loose, she’s going for some colour…

Thoughts?

Especially—pink ceiling: love it or hate it? I’m also considering doing the ceiling in a creamy off-white (’cause I can’t afford to replace my RED comforter.)

    YAY!
    YAY for another post!
    YAY for loving your job!
    YAY for the cappuccino!
YAY for a positive tone in your “voice”!
and YAY for the paint choice, with the cream ceiling.

I love those green hues, especially cause I could never pull them off. It just makes me look ill. DO IT! And the red comfortable would be niiiice in there too!

Tell me more about this job your love… inquiring minds want to know!

I’m so happy you’ve found a job you love! This is the most important thing for people living for what they do (= us, no?).

Regarding the colors … I’d hate a pink ceiling. Well, not immediately, but after a rather short time. I like to have calming, natural colors in my flat (this is why I like the idea of a creamy off-white), but not just everything in bright white – too uncomfortable! White per se is nice, but only when comnined with softening colors (my opinion). I have a white ceiling and pearl-grey walls in my living room, with a 5 or 10 cm border of white at the upper end of the walls, which I like very much. And then drit-wood colored furniture. You can see it in this post: http://myfunnylittlelife.com/2010/10/03/grape-harvest-oven-roasted-pumpkin-and-furniture-fun/

    :)
