Ew. That title hurts even *me*.
But there’s no denying that this is true glory:
I came in from an awesome workout this evening: I pushed the cardio and sweat (I sweat?! Crazy!), I lifted till I panted (though I can’t bring myself to grunt)… and after my recovery snack did nothing to sate my hunger, I looked at the 8-lb yam (approximate size) in my produce bowl and thought: “dinner?”
Yam chips are the best EVER. For real. I wash the yam… I leave the skin on… I slice it thin, and wish I had a mandolin… I toss the slices with just enough olive oil that the spices will stick… I plaster the slices with turmeric, pepper and cayenne… I spread on a baking sheet or two that I’ve prepped with a little olive oil… I bake for about 15 minutes at 425°F… I eat the whole thing… and I think about how tomorrow morning’s run is going to be SO much better for my dinner of complex carbs.
Yammy.

This sounds delicious! I love yams and sweet potatoes. I have made fries but I will have to remember to slice them even thinner next time. yum!

@ Kristen: I used to julienne them and eat them as fries, and then my fabulous former roommate decided to break out of the mould and slice them… and the chip idea was born. They actually get crisp this way (and my yam fries never did), so they pretty much rock my world when I’m dreaming about a crispy snack.
